ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 18, 2003

The Board reviewed and approved the minutes to our September 4, 2003 meeting.
The Board abated the pro forma tax bills that were issued on 9/4/03 to the following
properties:
161 Upland Rd. PIN 100037000
472 South Main St. PIN 059094000
17 Bluff Head Rd. PIN 077033000
Each of these bills was sent in error. Although the properties were owned by exempt entities, the properties themselves were already taxable for fiscal year 2003. Therefore, they should not have received FY2003 pro forma tax bills.
The Board read an article in a recent edition of City & Town, which discussed
electronically filed abatement and exemption applications.
The Board reviewed documents that were sent to the state notifying them of the
rejection of M.G.L. Chapter 59 Section 2D by the Sharon Board of Selectmen.
The Board reviewed the rough drafts of two capital outlay requests. One was for the
Interim Year Updating of Property Values and the other was for a Data Re-Inspection
Project. The Board made some changes to the wording of the documents. They
agreed that we should go forward with both Capital Outlay Requests pending some
expected adjustments to the cost estimates for the Data Re-Inspection Project.
The Board approved a search for vendors for our townwide photographing of
buildings project.
The Board took the following actions on the fiscal year 2004 applications for
exemption for the owners of the following properties:
